How to Make Your Own Interactive Comic

This is a cool video I heard of through the grapevine.  Done by comics pro, Jason Shiga, it’s a neat tutorial on how to create your very own interactive comic!

Cool, isn’t it?

Wedge of Cheese

This week, I just have another piece of practice here…or should I say, a piece of cheese.

Cheese Wedge

"Cheese wedge", Pencil on 8.5x11 in. paper

My lines are quite strong here.  The light and shadow is all right…it needs more work.  I drew this around the time I started lessons from the famous book by Dr. Betty Edwards known as Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.

Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a French painter associated with the Fauve movement as well as Post-Impressionism.

I’ve been taking classes in gouache painting and some in that class were comparing my work, in respect to its use of color and form, to that of Matisse.  I’ve researched his work and life – this painter was considered one of the most influential figures of the 20th century art scene.

On that note, please enjoy this video displaying some of Matisse’s works.
